Would you be jealous of your sibling?
If you were bob?
P.s watched this movie a lot, the ending always gets to me and makes me teary eyed :(

I can understand where Bob's coming from. He always felt like he was treated like a 2nd-class citizen and that Connie favored Ritchie, especially after Ritchie started hitting the big-time. He wanted to buy Connie the big house, for her to look at him like she looked at Ritchie, for her to be proud of him, and he felt like Ritchie, who was the "golden child", always beat him to the punch. Of course, Bob's lifestyle choices didn't help matters, but it was a vicious cycle.
P.S. I cry every time I watch the ending too. La Bamba is my favorite movie of all time. :-)
Of course. Ritchie is the golden boy and you can't do anything right. The end gets me too. I don't just tear up-I bawl. I get teary eyed just hearing Sleepwalk.

Depends - if my sibling still showed some friendliness/modesty/humility, then I could let it go and express some joy for their success. Otherwise, if he/she started acting in a holier-than-thou manner, then I'd probably think: "Hang on, there's something going on here."

No way.
I love my brother more than anyone and would be happy for him, and hope he's safe and happy.
Real LOSERS spell 'loser' looser!
I think the key is "if you were Bob". And another key is that I think you just really wouldn't know for sure until you're actually in this rare situation.
