Farewell to a very beautiful lady. I always enjoyed any movie or TV program that featured her. She's left us way too soon and is already missed. RIP.

Elizabeth Peña died after a brief illness at the age of 55 on October 14, 2014, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Film reviewer Mario-Francisco Robles, Peña's nephew, confirmed her death in an article in Latino-Review the following day. The nature of the illness was not disclosed.

That's really sad. I liked her in almost every single project she was in. I think it's nosy of me to ask, but I wonder what she passed from. RIP.

I had read that is was due to cirrhosis of the liver. Apparently she had been a chronic alcoholic.
