Did anybody else like this movie better as an adult?
when I saw this movie when I was a little kid, I didn't think it was that great, but when I saw it recently as an adult, I saw that it was such a great movie.

shareI am watching it now and agree. I had forgotten all about it until I was reminded Ritchie Valens performed at my grandparents wedding. That definitely made want to view it again and so far I'm glad I did.
shareYour grandparent's wedding must have been awesome! Wow! What an awesome story they must have!
shareThis is a late reply, apologize!
My grandparents think it's no big deal, hah. My grandmother grew up in the area and loved her rock n roll(she's awesome still!), so he was an obvious choice(for them).
Anyway, I think only younger people appreciate this story as any person in their age range that I've asked acted like I was a "special" sort of gal. Oh well, at least one person thought it was cool, hah
Yes! I remember first seeing this when I was very young and it had only been out a year or two. I remember liking it, but I also remember being somewhat scared--the plane crash flashbacks at the beginning and throughout the movie. And Bo and his hot temper and erratic behavior! As a little kid, those scenes stood out as very scary to me. Then YEARS later, as an adult, I watched it again and it had the biggest impact on me in a very positive way. It crushed my heart and made me so appreciative of Ritchie Valens, also Buddy Holly and the other musicians of their era. This is definitely a great movie that I can rate as one of my favorites. The acting was on point and the movie was overall made extremely well!
shareTypo... meant to write "Bob" not "Bo"
