Not a masterpiece of filmmaking, but i prefer it over parts 2 & 3

It have less boring parts (part 2 puts me to sleep); it's way better in terms of performances (the annoying kids of part 2, i was hoping that the shark would kill them all) and it's straight to the point as a low-budget B-flick that mixes the creature feature & the slasher movie genres. This movie keeps me excited all the way through even if the story didn't make that much sense (the shark's ride from NY to Bahamas), but with suspension of disbelief this movie delivers the goods as a decent "Midnight Session" movie.
Worst movie of all time? Not even close!!

Glad I'm not the only one who hates Part 2. I like part 3, though. Maybe it's because its in a different type of location.

One thing I really like about #4 are all the cameos of the original Amityville townsfolk from the first movie. Really nice touch there.

But, omg, Mrs Brody's hairstyle....the way her face is structured + that hair made her look so bitchy and nasty....hard not to root for the shark to get her. :P

It is similar, yes. A lot of "sharp" edges to her facial features and hair.

Jaws-Masterpiece

Jaws 2- Decent, stuck to the formula, didn't have Spielberg to make it suspenseful or the great Trio of Acting

Jaws 3- Awful

Jaws 4- Awful

.... I'll watch all of them but only 1&2 are films. CGI ruined part 3, Roaring and The Caribbean ruined Part 4. Oh, and its ridiculous story

I think 3 stands on it's own the most.....and not necessarily in a good way.
Somewhat enjoyable in it's own right, BUT....really suffers without Martin or Ellen Brody, the anchors of the family.

After almost 30 years of enjoying these films, as somewhat cool as they are, I think I still have a hard time buying the Michael and Sean of 3 as the same family, whereas Revenge somewhat reels it back in with Gary present.

Same here, my preferred order is 1, 4, 2, 3.

2 just had so many boring parts and annoying kids. 3 is even more boring.

1 is worlds above any of these.

How anyone can enjoy 4 more than 2 is beyond me, for christ sakes Mrs Brody and the Shark are mentally intertwined.

My personal choices of best to worst are 1, 3, 2 and last and certainly least is 4.
