There is no explosion at the end of this film. The shark is speared by the boat's stem.

The theatrical version I saw when it first came out did feature an exploding shark after the shark gets impaled by the boat's ... bow, iirc, not its stern. There's no sharp pointy object on the boat's rear that could spear the shark...
No, I am not familiar with that thread. I did not see it in the theater. I said the shark was impaled by the boat's STEM, not the STERN. The stem is what impaled the shark.
