mike in Jaws 3 as opposed to revenge.
Jaws 3 Mike says " great whites are murderers" Jaws revenge mike says" they're not killers" these aren't the exact quotes but funny how he says one thing, then the exact opposite.

shareThe Mike Brody we see in 3D wasn't the Mike Brody in Revenge. 3D was ignored in the 4th film, effectively retconned.
shareAnd you are? The creator of Jaws? As a fan I accept all 4. I actually saw the 3rd one first as a kid.
shareOf course I'm not the creator of Jaws. You created a thread about an inconsistency between the same character in 3D and Revenge. I explained that inconsistency; the Mike Brody of Revenge was written differently than the Mike Brody of 3D, who no longer exists in the film canon. You can include them as a fan, but it doesn't make 3D any more official. It was garbage anyway (in my opinion).
shareI like how he Calls them murderers in the 3RD film. He's making a connection between the 3 films. In the revenge he sounds like someone from 2014 saying awww sharks aren't so bad.
shareHe's a marine biologist in Revenge. No knowledgeable expert would call any animal a murderer. The sharks in the Jaws films are doing what sharks do naturally, and that is eat. It was touched upon in the original film, a rogue shark finding a never ending food supply. Again, in Jaws 2 the same thing happens. In 3D, if I recall, the shark wanders into Sea World and is stuck. The only case for a murderous shark is really just in the 4th film, where the plot just fringes upon lunacy. That doesn't dismiss the point, however, that any marine biologist would never label a shark a murderer.
If you like that particular line or POV from Mike Brody in 3D, cool. That's perfectly fine. All I was saying is that the reasoning behind the two opposite views from Mike in 3D and Mike in Revenge is due to the 4th film retconning 3D from the film canon, essentially causing the Mike from 3D to cease to exist.
Maybe now that he's a marine biologist with actual scientific knowledge of sharks, he's perspective is just different?
