What a waste of my time!

I thought this was supposed to be a classic highly rated horror film. I was interested in seeing the Pinhead guy in the movie too but he barely was even in the movie. The plot was absolutely ridiculous. A lot of plot holes. It did have good graphics for the 80's but that's about it. It had potential. It was a waste of my 90 minutes!

You should watch Hellraiser; Inferno.

He's in that less.

reply

I'm pretty sure you don't even know what a plot hole is, but please, enlighten us on what plot holes you think you saw.

Whose idea was it for the word LISP to have an S in it?

reply

Don't bother commenting if you don't know what you're talking about. If you watched the movie stupid you'd understand what I meant by plot hole. Re-watch the movie!!!

Just as I thought, an idiot joker with no answer and no clue. Go lay down in the middle of a busy highway, you dumba$$ waste of time!

Your immaturity makes me laugh! :)

reply

First off, goldnava, you are an idiot if you think this movie was bad and has plot holes (especially if you can't even come up with ONE!) But more importantly, the good ol' Solar Sailor is still around and is angrier than ever!!!

reply

I am genuinely curious to know what these plotholes are. I'm not interested in calling you names because your view might be different to mine.

I haven't watched the film in years and was considering re-watching it, so I'd really like to know what the issues were with the film - as you saw them.

I've seen 'Hellraiser' several times, the first being already in 1987.
The one plot hole I can think of is that nobody notices the stench from the decaying bodies Frank leaves in his wake. This has been adressed on this board already, and I tend to regard it as a sort of creative license.

What other plot holes are there? Anything I may have missed seeing it every now and again over the past 28 years?

Nothing, the OP is just an idiot with slobber dripping off his lip as he incessantly gripes! He doesn't even know what a plot hole is and has already failed to rise to the challenge of proving himself, LOL!

Kind of figured that... :)
Just thought I'd see what he/she/it would say. I mean, I had probably seen 'Hellraiser' ten times before mr.OP was even born. Plot hole... Sheesh! *rolls eyes*

-If made by George Lucas, this would be re-released 3 times - and by now be mostly cgi.

I've watched this movie multiple times and I too, would like to know what "plot holes" you're reffering to.

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

Oh shut up you twat. The first three hellraisers are amazing and I never fully recovered after watching them in my teens.

Let me break out my violin and play you a sad tune because there's barely any Pinhead in it.

:plays terribly because I don't know the first thing about playing a violin:

Of course Pinhead's barely in it! He's not even the primary protagonist of the first two "Hellraiser" movies and only became so when the Weinsteins and Peter Atkins basically hammered (no pun intended) home that the audiences were paying for Pinhead when Clive Barker had stated the real evil was Frank and Julia. The Cenobites aren't meant to be Freddy or Jason or even Chucky. They're not the villains because they aren't evil. They just are. The Cenobites are the mirror that's held up to judge humanity for its collective corruption.

So, are you going to cite any of the items you saw as "plot holes", or did you look up the definition of plot holes and realize you actually have no idea what you're talking about?

I am a big fan of horror, too, and I thought that this movie was kind of dumb. It never explained how Frank got brought back from his brothers blood. Does blood free you from the cenobites dimension? It never explained what he did to his victims (drink the blood, steal the skin, suck out their essence, what?) It was just not very easy for me to understand based on what information was given.

reply

Mysteries don't necessarily have to be explained, an example of this would be The X Files.

reply

Basically, if there are remnants of a person left behind by the cenobites and blood is spilled in the same place, they can escape Hell through resurrection. In the Hellbound Heart, it was semen(he ejaculated during one of his experiences with the cenobites). The movies more or less imply it's leftover blood. I'll give you this one, it isn't explained in the first movie, but Hellbound implies it better with Julia being resurrected on the mattress where she died.

The other thing I thought was pretty clear. Frank says the blood brought him back and that he needs more. It's pretty easy to draw the conclusion that he's drinking his victims' blood. Plus the first three victims aren't skinned, just emaciated. He only steals Larry's skin because regenerating his body through blood was taking too long.

Graphics? You do realize at lot of the effects were done practically?

reply

I cringe whenever people refer to special effects in a movie as "graphics".

reply

what pole hole are you talking about, please elaborate?
personally i really enjoyed this film and hellbound.

..and ive seen it a lot and never seen a plot hole in the script
i understand why it isn't for some people, the s&m, it's disturbing nature
etc etc, but in terms of story there's no plot holes that iv'e noticed.
