The hospital room looks a lot like the hospital in Hellbound- is this just coincidence or could we interpret it as being Channard's place?

It was probably just a general hospital. Most likely they hadn't come up with the plot of Hellraiser II at that point. Still, I do remember someone on the commentary(probably Pete Atkins) for the first two Hellraisers said he had an idea for combining the two movies into one, using the hospital scene from Hellraiser as a connection. I'm not sure that would work, though.
