I have a question if anyone is still using this board. After watching this movie i was wondering if Mary Lou should have been killed in a different way at the first of the movie? Since she died by burning at the first of the movie how could she have came back since her body was destroyed by flames. Shouldn't they made her burn at the end of the movie? It was a sad fate for her but i think this was the first movie i have ever seen where they used fire on a way cute gal.

Because, in some strange way, that makes her death more agonizing and disturbing.

Even though she was a generally unlikable character.

i LOVED mary lou. I HATE Vicki Carpenter when she is all good, her character is SO much better when she is evil, and WAY hotter. She did a very good job at switching personalities, Extremely well job. Mary Lou will always be awesome, Lisa Schrage was the best.

I agree about her death because most other wannabe movies use the girl or "prom queen" dying in a car wreck 95% of the time...there were several things that drove me insane about this movie!! I feel it had potential to be a bit hit but the writers had too many loopholes..way too many!! For starters how in the heck did that guy get by with murdering Mary Lou??? And someone could have saved her i think I know fire is fast but come on??? And the most puzzling is how Bill and the priest just went on with their lives. I would have been in a mental institution after watching and being responsible for a girls death. And they didn't even mention her family or how they took her tragic death either. UUURRRGGGHH! neway...I could go on forever but i still liked the movie though.

I just watched the movie not too long and I agree. There were a lot of unanswered questions, but this movie was made way before Social Media and the internet and I doubt the viewers of horror thought about all those details.

With that being said, I would like to see a remake of HELLO MARY LOU that answers the questions that you raised.

Mary Lou is burned to a crisp when she emerges from Vickie's body at the prom. She then slowly transforms her body back to normal. When she starts beating up Craig on the stage, she still has a little burn damage which continues to go away as the ending progresses.
