I wish the DVD had subtitles.

Is it me or do others find it really difficult to understand what is being said in this film? The dialogue is so quite and the ambient sounds so much louder. The person who did the audio should have been shot for making an otherwise brillant film fail because you can't hear whats going on!

I have found the script online. I may print it off and watch the movie again (a bit sad I know, but I want to understand what is being said). Plus it should be able to clear up the fact whether Langulli an Doc die, which personally I think they both do.

Edit.

No it doesn't the script is crap and doesn't include any stage direction, oh well.

I found it hard to hear the scrip as well. Espically in the opening scen.

Well, unfortunately on the special edition, there is subtitles, but whoever did them didn't understand what the hell they were saying anyway. There were so many lines that the subtitler messed up that I turned the subtitles off.

At the end of the film, it mentions who did the subs...

Screw him!

You were born a pig farmer.
You'll always BE a pig farmer.
And now, you will DIE a pig farmer.

the subs are pretty messed up. when frantz says "now unass my AO", the subtitles read "no one asked my AO".

a new life awaits you in the off-world colonies!

No wonder the "Newsman" asked What?

You'll always BE a pig farmer.
And now, you will DIE a pig farmer.
