Check this out...a outstanding documentary:

This can be found on YouTube cut into about 10 sections; I saw it years ago & found it very good:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169885/board/threads/

The documentary film-maker spent about 97 days attached to a Marine Rifle company from the 7th Marine Regiment with his film crew; both he & several members of his film team got wounded; can't exactly tell when it was filmed but the Marines STILL have M14s & 3.5 in rocket launchers so I imagine it's early 1967.

another excellent vietnam documentary is two days in october, which was inspired by the book they marched into sunlight. i believe you can find it on the internet. it features a lot of interviews with veterans and, at home, their relatives, members of the anti-war movement who were protesting at the same time that the veterans were fighting, and policemen who were ordered to stop the protests. very interesting film.

baby can you dig your man?
he's a righteous man.

My wife's sister was living in Wisconsin when the riots took place--up until that time the town she was living in was sort of like Mayberry RFD/Leave it to Beaver land; that riot at the University was a bit of an 'epiphany' for her, politically.
