Does anyone know what Beletsky said to Frantz as they are just getting to the top of the hill, Frantz sits down first in front of a tree stump and Beletsky plops down beside him and whispers something to him, anyone know what the hell he said?
I always thought he might be saying something like " We made it man, now just think in a few hours we'll be sipping a case full of cold beer and we;ll get ourselves down The Vill for the women "
Etc ....
Hence , the almost relieved/exhaused smile from the Sarge
Actually no it doesn't. I got the DVD about a month back and it has some good features in it, though it could have been more informative about the battle...like having trivia popup options like the "A Bridge to Far" DVD. Well, on the other hand this movie's characters are fictional so maybe you wouldn't have as much "trivia" to show about the on screen players.
Anyhow, back on topic. They just talk about the moment when they shot the scene. Tim Quill talks about how the writer gave him something to whisper in Dylan McDermott's ear at the top of the hill and to not tell anybody. Dylan McDermott talks about how he had reacted with a laugh because of reflecting on the irony and tragedy of what his character had just gone through while looking down the hill.
I just watched it a couple of hours ago and thought he said something like, "It was a good day" in reference to the earlier scene where he says the same thing and Frantz says "I lost a man today, that's all that happened."
I will not hurt or harm you. Just give me back the board, Lance. It was a good board... and I like it. You know how hard it is to find a board you like...
