About the goofs...

Most of the goofs on this movie are in the category of anachronisms, which to me are kind of boring most of the time, unless they impact the plot. One goof caught my attention, though:

"The ribbons on SMaj Dickerson's uniform shirt are out of order. Also his ribbons indicate he was awarded the Purple Heart twice yet none of his campaign ribbons show any Battle Stars."

I'm watching the movie now. Two ribbons are out of order. In the bottom row, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon and the United Nations Service Ribbon are reversed.

The statement about having two Purple Hearts,"yet none of his campaign ribbons show any Battle Stars," makes no sense. The number of campaigns and the number of Purple Hearts are unrelated. He could have been wounded a number of times during the same campaign. Also, for the campaign ribbons, if he has no stars on any of the campaign ribbons, he's wearing the ribbons incorrectly. Unlike other ribbons, the campaign ribbon by itself doesn't count in the number of awards of that ribbon. In other words, if you are awarded a campaign ribbon for one campaign, you would wear that ribbon with one star (to represent the one campaign).
