I really wish they would release this movie on DVD. i would buy it in a second. It is an 80's classic. I have the vhs but I really want it on DVD. Does anyone know if it will be released?

shareThere is a seller on EBay that is selling this movie but is not i repeat is not sending the movie out, Hes keeping the money!!! I tried to get my money back but it took me damn near 2 months an he didnt even send me a full refund, So beware!! The movie total was 17.99, he only sent me back half! SO watch out for a person who is selling this movie with viglvideo in the name.

I just got my copy of the movie on DVD froma guy on eBay, the packing quality totally sucks, bad home printer print out, and yes it is a home burn. It looks to be from a VHS copy, why I'm not sure, because it was released on LaserDisc and that would have made a much better transfer. I am on a quest to find the LaserDisc and make my own transfer out of it.
If anyone comes across the LaserDisc and wishes to sell it, let me know!

ps. I have the movie also on VHS, and my VHS copy is much better than this DVD bootleg, the bootleg is very jumpy and annoying to view.
Well I got my money back on that copy. They guy claims he "Got a bad batch". What it looks like he has done is, gotten an Asian bootleg, then made copies of that!
So I found another person who looks to be selling actual copies of it, so we'll see when I get it in the mail in a few days....
theres a guy on ebay who is selling them for like $20 plus shipping. It says that they are asian imports. most of the ones for $9 and stuff seem to be copies. Anyways the guy who is selling them for like $20, I ordered Night of the Comet from him so when I get that atleast I'll let you know if he is reliable

i got it from the house of horrors
my copy is good...
it may be a vhs transfer, or laserdisk, not sure...
but the quality is great on it.
it came in 2 seperate files,
around 1.3 gb in total,
so it looks like whoever upped it,
did try their best at preserving what they could.

MGM will be releasing this on DVD on July 12, 2005 with a SRP of $14.95 which means you can probably pick it up for around $10 at most stores.
