The UK version is cut...

It's cut by 26 seconds, according to the "alternate versions" section of the IMDb page, and also the bbfc site confirms this - but there's no explanation why the cuts were made.

Anyone know the answer?

I know why the cuts were made, it's a kids film and the cuts were made so that it could make the certificate. I think the question you want to know is that what was cut.
