Finally saw it! It only took 20 something years

I remember being in Kindergarden when this movie was released and always wanted to see it because my friends use to have the cards. I remember back in the vhs days it was extremely hard to find on tape, after finally seeing it I know why. Now, I'm not going against it's overall cheesey nature or bad special effects, I recently watched The Smurfs on dvd, and watch He-Man and Masters of the Universe and still enjoy those cartoons, but Garbage Pail Kids was just shameful. The filmmakers could have at least tried to make a coherant plot or make the movie linear in some fashion, it's just all over the place. The Dolph Lundgren He-Man movie was cheesey too, but at least is linear in it's own corney way. This movie is a prime example of marketing at it's lowest level, this along with Leonard Part 6 are some of the most shameful moments of the 80's.

thats exactly the reason why i liked it so much. Its a bad movie but it is unusual, and its very different from 80s nostalgia or hollywood. But thats just me and my interested in weird, unusual movies. I used to be a film studied student, and i dont see films as any normal film watcher would, i look beyond them :D Havin said that though, i never did hear of the film as a kid, it wasnt 2 years ago (when i was 24), that i hear about, and first i didnt even want to see it, but then im glad i actually did. I was never a fan of those cards as a kid,and i didnt see it as a kid, maybe thats why i enjoyed it more. Had i seen it as a kid, i would have no doubt hated it and been freaked out by it.

I understand why many people might hate it, and i appreciate it-the problem is people who do hate it tend to ruin it by coming on imdb and trashing it so much, which might ruin it for other people. If i dont like something, i appreaciate it if other people do like it and dont try to ruin it for them. Its like, if i dislike somebody i wont speak to them, but i wont be nasty to them or try to influence others negatively. Everybody has their own tastes in stuff, not necessarily all the same. If people really hate a movie that much, why bother searching about it and trashing it?:/ Surely people have better things to do with their lives. I mean, is it really worth wasting minutes of your lives? :)

But this movie was rubbish I only liked the song "Working with each Other" performed by the GPK produced by Michael Lloyd & John Strong
