State Home for the [spoiler]
The movie played it straight except for the inclusion of the State Home for the Ugly. It wasn't funny and didn't work. It wouldn't have been too difficult to come up with some other dilemma which is somewhat reality-based.
I am a fan and this is the only part I didn't like.
