When I saw the headline I had to look to make sure it wasn't April 1st.

I... wow. Forget the potential artistic merit......how could someone like Eisner think that this is even remotely viable commercially? I know GPK re-emerged about 10 years ago and is still around in some capacity, but the last time it was a super-hot property was back when the original film was released and it tanked. Hard.

Look, I loves me some GPK, I have all the original series sets save for 1, but from a pop culture standpoint this teat is outta milk.

But then again maybe I'm wrong. I thought the idea of a new ALVIN & THE CHIPMUNKS franchise was doomed to fail. 3 movies and a billion dollars later...

On the one hand, I'm horrified. I mean I really can't see any artistic opportunities to this franchise. On the other hand, I'm tired of good movies getting crap remakes. Who knows? Maybe the remake will improve on the original enough to warrant its existence.

If you paid to see Transformers 3 in the theater, shame on you.

What?? Thats crazy, I'd hate to see a remake (or will be a sequel?) wonder what it will be about? I shudder to think the GPKs getting the CGI treatment :/

Yes it has been, I miss talking to a fellow imdb-er :) Little one is 10 months now and a bigger baby than I was, I hope to be able to teach her about all the 80s/90s movies and tv shows that were prominent while I was growing up :D I will also check out your blog, I have started to update mine too :)

Me too :-)--That's good to hear. Teach 'em young and teach 'em right I say! I have a 4 year old Nephew and a 2 year old Niece and I've managed to turn him into a huge Star Wars fan. She likes Hello Kitty, though :p.--That's great to hear. I think I still have the link to it, if not I'll find it :-D.
