You have to look at the time it was made. Actresses such as Kristy McNicol were wearing short hair...it was the fashion.

Oh and I suppose you'd have been satisfied if she was parading around like Jonbenet Ramsey (poor unfortunate child).

It's a sad state of affairs when a presumed adult can criticise an innocent and beautiful little girl just because she doesn't fit your stereotype of what a little girl should look like. It's no wonder women grow up to feel like they are under a permanent microscope. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. How would you feel if you had a young daughter and people on social media called her ugly? Grow up!
