Out with old, in with new !!

Ok so I know every1 seemed to love these original movies and at the time I'm sure they were scary . After seeing today's movies and CGI and all that it's just really funny to watch the old ones and they are just as dumb with no shock value. The newest remake had to be the goriest movie I've seen in a while and pretty scary. Compared to watching it against the originals I have to say THERES no comparison. Now this doesn't obviously go for ALL films but I find "new" or remake horror "usually " way more gruesome and fun to watch. I'm not saying that the acting is " much" better but like I said ."Out with the old, and in with the new"!!

THERES NO ROOM FOR YOU IN MY CIRCUS TENT !!!!

Em no one was scared by this film. It is a splatter comedy.

No one is scared by modern horror crap like the Conjuring or Paranormal Activity 9 but they don't have the benefit of being fun or entertaining either. So no, don't re-make this film because shiny new CGI is what gets your rocks off. CGI isn't ever scary anyway.

How old are u kid 13?? I really feel sorry for your generation you need to watch movies crammed full of cgi or as I say visual diarrhoea. Movies like the evil dead (1981) are not meant to be taken seriously there comedy horror but if u wanna compare it to today's horror movies u really need to look up some horror classics movies like paranormal activity are full of cheap jump scares they rely on these to make the movie scary unlike classics such aas the exorcist or the omen which are more focused on suspense and story which lead to more interesting in the long run. Cgi has no place in horror movies unless u have the imagination or a gold fish. Classic films from the 70's and 80's such as the evil dead use proper gore effects that take time and effort not to mention stock motion and stunts. Evil dead may have been on a shoe string budget but movies today inspired by it spend hundreds of millions and look tacky as *beep* Ur entitled to your opinion but someday when you grow a few hairs on ur testies you'll understand in the meantime continue watching transformers16 and paranormal activity 32.

No.

Wow... How pathetic... Every remake I've seen of a horror film has been much worse than the original. But I guess some people are easily swayed by a little CGI in place of a decent movie.

Shut up, kid.

I find a lot of the classics override the new just because of originality and seem to be less socially corny. Sure the graphics are not that great but it's hard to out do a legend. Think of it this way. You have the best sports player of all time and you try some modern person to challenge him or her. It's a gamble. Remember the originals are so popular because they are so good for the time. They usually have better plots then the remakes but not as good graphics. A good story is a good story. A remake does have expectations to live up to or out-beat the original. On the other hand I may have to re-watch some of the old stuff. This Halloween I watched the Remake of "Nightmare on Elms Street" and thought they did a pretty good job of it. I do like the original makeup of Freddy. The remake of "The Shinning" was nothing compared the the Jack Nicholson original. I never watched the new Poltergeist but that is a heavy shoe to full.
