Critics get it. Why can't general audiences?
There's something so odd about people's reactions to funny horror movies. Go onto youtube and find the trailer for Drag Me To Hell, Slither, or even Scream Queens and the same comment is on all of them. "Wait. Is this supposed to be a horror or a comedy. I don't get it."
There's been SOOO many and people still can't wrap their minds around it. Horror-based comedies they get. Zombieland was a huge hit and the Scary Movie movies made bank. What is it about a horror movie that goes out of its way to be fun?
Evil Dead II especially gets a weird wrap. It's got great cinematography, perfect editing, is pouring creativity out of it's seams, has a 98% on rotten tomatoes, and people say it's STUPID or POORLY MADE. It actually really stresses me out.
