Who thinks that this movie is miles better than the original? There's just a lot more happening in this movie.

It is by far the best of the series and my favorite movie of all time.

Probably not but it is unfair. Evil Dead was a super low budget production by a group of young filmmakers who just wanted to make a movie. What they managed to create is quite impressive. So many other low budget horrors from the era have disappeared from consciousness.
No, you're obviously not the only one. The general consensus is, clearly, that Evil Dead II is the best one in the trilogy.
And I say this as someone who, personally, thinks that Army of Darkness is the best one.

Ash isn't really Ash in the first film.
'Army of Darkness' is probably my favorite, followed by 'Evil Dead II'.
