Arkin and Hauer made this a great movie!
I must say that I have never seen Alan Arkin and Rutger Hauger better before or after this movie. I know that Arkin won an Academy this year, but he plays his caracter so superb, its almost scary. Rutger Hauer is just as good. I have always liked him. I feel that he is a bit underrated as an actor. He deserves to play in great movies with a great audience.
I see this movie at least once a year and I will always love it. This war will never be forgotten. It was the biggest tragedy of this world ever.
