shareI am wee bit confused by your question, as none of the Sobibor survivors "ran to Connecticut." However, I strongly believe you are referring to Selma and Chaim Engel, as they ran hand in hand through the mine fields and hid together in the barn of a Polish farmer until the end of the war.
They later married and immigrated to the USA, where they settled in Connecticut. They spoke widely about their wartime experiences and I think it is likely they are the couple to whom you are referring.
Sadly, Chaim Engel passed away in 2003. As far as I know, Selma is still living in Connecticut.
