Did anybody see that awesome family guy refrence with him? If not, Peter talks about having to make togh choices in life. It cuts to him and the video store, and he can't choose between "Ernest goes to the beach" and "Earnest doesn't go to the beach". Then this guy comes on the PA and says "We will be closing in 5 minutes..." so Peter is like freaking out. It was awesome, because as a kid it was tough deciding which Earnest to get.

Family Guy is a different type of comedy than the simpsons. So its not a wannabe.
This was on the boards because someone made a comment about how hard it was
to choose between all the Jim Varney movies when you go rent them. Which is true. And that was a scene from Family Guy!!! DUH!!!
There is a scene in family guy where Peter has brought jim back to life as a zombie) but wanted John Belushi so he takes jim into the garden with a shotgun m we hear a gunshot n peter comes running back in, he says to brian "don't ask me how but Jim has the gun, run!".
