Punch the cop. He'd have to arrest her. Then she could call her boyfriend from the station. No doctor's authority outside a hospital is going to override assault on an officer. Even if she couldn't prove anything later, she'd be free of them.
shareI don't think she was thinking that way. She was trying to tell the truth about her situation and they wouldn't believe her. At least they checked in the attic, but when she goes to her room and sees the corpse, she just screams. Should have yelled "it's in here!"...unless she thought they had left already.
Overall I liked the atmosphere and plot, but her character could have been written better.
