There's too much smoking in this movie
It's really rather amusing.
If this is a consular ship, where is the ambassador?
You have to hold your breath during those scenes so none of the
smoke gets into your lungs.

Don't watch any of the old black & white movies from the 40's and 50's then! =)
shareI agree. However it's a sign of the times, and probably the last time (I hope) that smoking was considered normal in American films. That era was nearing an end (I suppose people still smoke occasionally in movies but it's not presented as hip or sophisticated anymore). We're well rid of it now, though I still love classic Noir and old black ans white TV shows. I know that's smoking is very bad for you but that's the way it was.
