Any other movies like this?

Hi guys have read ur comments in previous posts and the consensus is we watched this movie when we were younger and still enjoy it. My question is, is there another movie similar albeit cheesy or corny like this that I can watch? I read the list someone put in one of the posts but none of those titles are available for hire at my local dvd store, just wanna watch some good old fashioned 80s comedies, but not the ones they tend to rerun on tv like beverly hills cop or police academy!

Try sweet and corny "Electric Dreams" starring Virginia Madsen from 1984. It's a romantic comedy with a terrific 80's soundtrack about a boy, girl and a amorous computer. The computer competes for the affection for the guy's girlfriend. It has the same sensibility, but with a better story. The ending will both leave you in tears and smiling. Check the imdb listings for info. Though it's not out on DVD yet.:(

I really liked "Maid to Order" which had Ally Sheedy in it. She's a rich girl who always gets into trouble and her fairy godmother (Beverly De Angelo) changes her life completely to where she never existed in her life at all. She's poor and has to get a job, so she gets a job as a maid for these really rich people. It's a really good 80's movie.

You also might like "Overboard", with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, "Splash" with Tom Hanks and Darryl Hannah, and "The Great Outdoors" with John Candy and Dan Akroyd. These were all my favorites when I was growing up.
