New Year's Eve Movie
The movie that the Woods family rents and watches on New Year's Eve while Donald is making his way to the Lesotho border is the 1967 John Wayne western "The War Wagon". The movie also starred Kirk Douglas, Howard Keel, Keenan Wynn and Bruce Cabot. I discovered this after watching "The War Wagon" one night last year and "Cry Freedom" the next night. (I had purchased DVDs of both movies the previous day. What an unlikely coincidence!). The next day I viewed the appropriate scenes in both movies to confirm my discovery.
