I just want to know why you think this movie is boring and why you hate it OP. Where I am standing, Cry Freedom is a powerful, moving and compelling film, that is tightly directed, stunningly filmed and impeccably acted, particularly from Washington. And I also think despite the fairly high IMDb rating and a number of critics praising it as powerful, ambitious and what have you, I think Cry Freedom is underrated. When Richard Attenborough is talked about, films like Ghandi and Oh What A Lovely War are mentioned but very rarely Cry Freedom. Why? It is a truly great film, with a subject matter that is extremely difficult to get right.
