I just wanted to point out a marvellous performance by John Thaw as the head of the Police, Kruger. His accent was flawless. Pity we can't get more of this remarkable actor. May he rest in peace...
shareI agree--he was terrific in a chilling cameo role. I, too, was impressed by the accent. Cynics will say it's his job as an actor, but it's unusual to hear a convincing South African English accent. I remember John Thaw fondly as Inspector Morse. We lost him much too soon.

I thought John Thaw was brilliant as Kruger. It was just a shame that you didn't see more of him, but when you did see him, he was just marvellous as always. I don't care really about the accent, and I didn't have a problem with it anyway. All that matters was that John was an exceptional actor, and we lost a genuine acting talent too soon.
