Whatever happened to the actress that played Laverne (The Raft)?

She was a real hottie, but it seemed like this was her last movie? She couldn't have been more than 24 years old at the time. Anyone know what happened to the actress after this movie and why she so abruptly left the industry?

Many 80's actresses failed to make it big, or just lost interest in acting and vanished!

Linda Carol-as Jenny- from Reform School Girls made just a few movies after that one and she is gone! Jenny Wright and several others.

there was once a post on her own IMDB page (its since been deleted) written by an ex-friend of hers that claimed she now works in a movie theatre.

Search for Jeremy Green on Facebook profiles and she stands out from all the guys with that name. She's a nice normal looking middle aged lady at this point.

reply

Thanks for the tip, yes she is still a fine looking woman. Wonder what she thinks of the film these days.

Does anyone have a link to a picture of her now? ive been curious about this myself.

RIP RAY SPRUCE.

there was some recent photos of her on her FB page the last time I looked.

reply

Is it actually her? I'd say you could ask Daniel Beer, since he blogs a lot, but the last time I checked, he said he hasn't kept in touch with anyone.

I’m reasonably convinced that that is her, keeping in mind she’d now be nearly thirty years older from how she appeared in Creepshow 2. After all, there can’t be many women knocking around with a name like that.

reply

Good point. I wonder how the others are, since a reunion of some kind be awesome.

It is her.

reply

Yeah that is definitely her.

Unfortunately there was never any information on why Jeremy Green suddenly dropped out of Hollywood. She was willing to do partial nudes so that couldn't have been the problem, that is, being too choosy over roles.

reply

A shame she never 'made it'.

The fact she has an identical twin is cool, it would have been nice to see the two act together in a horror film. I guess I like twins, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) and Twins of Evil (1971) have two great sets!

Hell it would have been cool if her twin sister was in The Raft with her. It would have made it even more memorable. Twins always stand out.

For the record, this was what was posted about her on the old IMDB message boards: could be true, could be nonsense.

"My friend knows her and she works downtown at a theatre selling tickets. I guess she's very self absorbed along with a bad attitude. Thats probably why she was'nt successful in the film business.
The moral of the story is don't think your better than others and they might want to work with you again. As I said, my friend knows her well and says that she just does'nt get it. When your as pretty as her and still single at 44yrs old, there's a reason. Attitude is everything.
My friend has know her since her since the 80's and said that she is very self absorbed. That conversation with her is always about herself. Hence the reason she's still single and never been married. She thinks the world owes her everything and just never got it. Its too bad. Looks will only
take you so far. She could have had a great life, but at 44yrs old, she'll never get it. I guess you'd call her stuck up and snobbish.

I think you bring up a lot of good and factual points. There's absolutley something psychological going on, but for the record Jeremy tried to pursue her acting career for 8 or 9 years after Creepshow 2. The attitude was a big factor. I have empathy, but do not reward bad behavior from
anyone. At some point, one has change their ways, or be doomed to repeat the past. We all have things from our past that we need to work on. You can't change if you don't acknowledge. I think thats the problem with Jeremy".
