Is this the James Woods movie where there was a scene in which his character was telling this young daughter some pretty horrific stories (as bedtime stories) about his police investigations? If it is, I saw it a few years ago and thought it was one of James Woods best.
shareYes it was. Rather than Woods being the typical father and telling little white lies to his daughter, that the world really is a nice place. He prefers to tell the truth and so as not to decieve his daughter into some kind of mistaken love for the world.
Of course this doesn't go down too well with his wife, but Woods has a point: is it right to lie to your daughter just to keep her innocently naive that the world and the people in it are nothing but nice?
