How close to the book "blood on the moon" did the movie follow?

In places it's close, but overall the film is a lot different and better for it. The book was awful and the ending stupid. If you can track the book down read it, and it's sequels, but don't expect much from Blood on the Moon.

I hated Cop. It sucked big time. I thought the book was 2.3 trillion times better.And out of the trilogy Suicide Hill is my favorite.
