Discounting true classics like Citizen Kane, I do think this excellent old school film has one of the best final lines ever:
"Well, there's good news and there's bad news.
The good news is you're right - I am a cop and I gotta take you in.
The bad news is I've been suspended and I don't give a f^$&..."
[followed by 3 close range shotgun blasts]
James Woods is DA MAN.

And indeed, lots of really memorable dialog in this flick.
They just don't make 'em like they used to - a real shame...

But honestly for me, part of the reason I love the lines in question is largely due to James Woods' DELIVERY.
After all, it's a MOVIE - not a book.
But yes, point taken, though I would think you would understand my POV as well.

If you like the line so much, you should be praising the person who wrote it, not the person who memorized it and recited it.
