just saw this for the first time and am trying to figure out who the actor is that played one of the technicians (he hands the tape to Joan Cusack for the run scene). This is driving me crazy because he resembles Phillip Seymour Hoffman, yet PSH is not listed in the cast.
Also, although the movie was made in 1987 (20 years ago), it is interesting how outdated the hair and clothing styles are.

The movie is "dated" but in a good way. It captures the 80s. Note that they were using VHF tapes and type writers.
And he had a bit part in The Big Lebowski with Philip Seymore Hoffman.

thanks for the info - I watched the movie a second time and this time caught his film name (Bobby), so I could check it in the credits. But I still think he resembles PSH.
I did notice the "old" things, including those awful shoulder pads.
I lways enjoy IMDB and the folks who contribute to keeping it lively - thanks again.
He was also one of the main characters on "The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr." with Bruce Campbell.
