Those music theme guys...

At the end of the special report, the two guys creating a new theme are in the control room, playing the themes they were proposing.

Why were they there on a Sunday?

They wouldn't have been able to come into the control room, they wouldn't just show up unannounced, and besides, the folks in Washington wouldn't be approving the music. All of that would have taken place in NY.

Perhaps they had arranged to meet Paul there? And even if the theme decision is made in New York, perhaps Paul's approval is important because he's on a particular committee or board for this? Just guessing...
