the 'darker' children's movies
tend to be the better ones in my opinion.
shareAgreed. The darker ones come off as works of art that can be enjoyed from kids to adults, while the more cheery, upbeat ones are just... well... kiddie movies. The less darker ones don't stand the test of time as well.

I agree. The Brave Little Toaster was definitely kind of dark, but that's what made it awesome!
