Why did they think they were better than the Air Conditioner?

It seems like Toaster and the rest always teased the Air Conditioner about being stuck in the wall. Do you think that is why they really thought they were better than he was?

It seemed like after years of torment that he finally had enough. Toaster even seemed apologetic, so it is a fact that he was teased by the likes of them.

Yeah, pretty much. Also because "Master" never used the Air Conditioner, but did all the others in someway.

And because A.C. thought he was "all that and a bag of chips." he was also being condescending towards the other appliances ("y'know something, you're a real bright little lamp" "I'm real scared there, Kirby, what are ya gonna do? Suck me to death?") HE is the one who thinks he's better than the other appliances, and he's super defensive after being put in his place.

Going to pull a theory out of my ass, so excuse me if anything sounds weird or out of place or if I'm reading way too deep into this.

A.C. was very smug towards the others. He was in a way, the only rational person in the house. While the others kept themselves with a "false" sense of hope that the Master would return, A.C. knew that they had been abandoned and they were better off with moving on. Since there are a lot of religious parables, you can take this as the others seeing Rob as Jesus or God and that he would come back to them one day, and A.C. was a non-believer who lost hope.

Also, there's an implication on Kirby's end as well as the others that he wasn't all that great because the Master never played with him because he was "stuck in a wall"; basically saying they think they're better than him because they're able-bodied. All of this is made more clear during A.C.'s rant before he blows his top--about how they think because they're better than him because they can move around and how he couldn't help it that Rob couldn't reach him. Although he says he "likes" being in the wall and how he's not an invalid, you can just tell in the tone of his words and as things go on that he absolutely hates being "disabled".

tl;dr -- Although it was out of anger, it can be interpreted that the others think they're better than A.C. because they aren't handicapped and are able-bodied.

He was a jerk. People tend not to like jerks (Russell Brand being the exception). Occam's *beep* razor right here.

Among all them, Toaster was the crueler. The Air Conditioner simply gave them a sobering speech about the low chance of their master returning. The Air Conditioner was a bit cynical, but Toaster took it to a personal level by reminding him that their master never played with him. This opened the floodgates for the rest of their friends to vent their frustrations on the Air Conditioner. Adding insult to injury, the vacuum cleaner joined the "party" and highlighted his physical condition that prevented him from moving.

Unsurprisingly, the Air Conditioner had a meltdown in response, suggesting this bullying wasn't a one-time occurrence. Some speculate he committed suicide, but I believe it was a heart attack resulting not only from the intense anger he felt but also from years of social isolation.

Their response to his death, including the toaster's, was disturbingly indifferent.

No wonder the air conditioner became cynical and pessimistic.

For me, it's the saddest and most heartbreaking part in the movie.
