They are going to butcher the hell out of this in the remake

I'm sure some of you have already heard about the remake of this movie. i have a strong feeling that they are going to butcher the hell out of it. Since they are likely to make it more "kiddy" for today's audience, make it as "hip" as possible, and take the moral out of the story.

I question why Hollywood would butcher good movies for the sake of being desperate. I know they want money, but they shouldn't butcher a classic like this. The fact that there's going to be an Ipod in this movie doesn't bring anything in the story. A waste if you ask me.

My guess is the iPhone and all the modern appliances will appear at the Master's apartment. It's a certainty the filmmakers will borrow more from Disch's book than the 1987 movie, so we probably won't have to worry too much about this movie being "butchered."

Maybe the main appliances will be 1980s models who meet 2013 models at the Master's place. iPhones, Rhombas, six-slice toasters, and everything else. Much like the main appliances in this film meet 1980s models, it will now be outdated '80s appliances that will be the centerpiece.

I hope.

Remakes are so futile. Don't care what film it is.
