About David's father

Ok so maybe I'm reading this the wrong way. The father constantly said are you alright Agnes? throughout the film. Are we supposed to believe that the father was cheating on the mother cause that's what I get out of. Please please someone get back to me.

Its not mentioned in the film, but we do see her once she works with him.
I don't think they have a relationship, BUT I TOO get that expression AND its KILLING ME TO know if the director wanted us to think they were rather than to mention it!

Given what I've experienced with Blake Edward's films, I would say that it's possible, although he probably meant something more innocent--that Judge Bedford loses his temper and accidently hits Agnes on a regular basis. Therefore, "You alright Agnes" would be a phrase he uses often.

I think the Director wanted you to think that he was fooling around with the court reporter--after all, the Judges wife seemed to be a golf' fanatic who did'nt show him a lot of attention--it's an interesting side bar to the movie

His wife gets hurt All he can do is say are you alright Agnus and not even look at his wife

Walter gets hurt Are you alright agnus

HySTERical

Ha ha ha

Well he should pay more attention to his wife
She should pay more attention to him too
She plays Golf alot of the time
He is at court sessions alot of the time
So maybe they don't spend enough time together
She talked to nadia at the dinner while he talked to david
They hardly ever spoke to eachother in the movie hardly only about things, she plays Golf in her Room (w.t.h) She is obsessed with the sport more than she loves him by the looks of it
They needed a marriage counsellor and FAST...
Think those parts in the movie were for us to make out minds up about
