Kracklite's pregnancy

The fact that Kracklites's aches began as he and his wife had sex and she got pregnant is very interesting to me, but I'not sure what to make of it.
It seems he began to die as he gave life to his son, who is born as he dies...
So maybe his ego was lost, somehow passed on to his child...
Can this be a metaphor of the life you lose when you become a father? Can creativity be lost as we dedicate our life to another person?

What are your thoughts about all this?

Note that the final chapter in the DVD menu is entitled "Alpha and Omega." Substantiates your theory, eh?

I agree disfuncion, of the life lost when you become a father. It's something else to hold in perspective and is a fragile loss of time.
