I had never heard of this film but then I stumbled upon it on Google Video and this is one of the funniest films I have seen in a while. I usually do not like violent films but the violence and blood in this film are so fake and the acting and premise are so hilarious that it all just clicks. What a great film!!!

I'd love to know what genre this is because its not horror.

The genre is called "Black Humor" or "Dark Humor". Meaning it is humor about sad things. Other movies in this genre are Aresnic and Old Lace http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0036613/. Or The Trouble with Harry http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0048750/.

I'd have never compared Bad Taste to The Trouble With Harry!!

I'd probably just call it "High Concept Gore", like many Troma films (Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke 'em High, etc)

Evil Dead was directed by Sam Raimi.

i believe its in public domain, cuz i saw it in one of those 50 greatest horror movies that are filled with all sorts of those ed wood like movies.

The technical term is : "Horromedy" (Hor-ahh-medee)

'Splatstick' is another good term for the film, which blends hard core splatter and slapstick gags.
