WATCH 'DEAD ALIVE' INSTEAD

Although similar in tone, this movie pales in comparison to "Dead Alive". "Dead Alive" made me laugh; "Bad Taste" just made me groan. The "boys" are simply too annoying to be funny. And until the aliens show their true appearance they are a total bore. Luckily, I found this movie on a disk in one of my dirt cheap $19.99 "50 classic horror" collections, and that is how I came to finally watch it; thank god, 'cause I would have been pissed if I had paid full price for the DVD. If you got suckered into paying more than $1.99 for the DVD based on the movie's "cult" reputation and the fact it is an early effort from LOTR director Peter Jackson, then I have only one word for you: "SUCKA!!".

And its BRAINDEAD fool, Dead Alive is only for people who want to watch a censored version.

The unrated American version of Braindead, aka Dead Alive, is the preferred version for most fans, and I think I've read, of Peter himself. The pace of Braindead drags a bit too much.
