Worst film ever made?

Anyone agreeing with me? I can't say one reason why this would not be the worst film in history. What were they thinking? The director of LOTR. Are you sure this wasn't his step brother from mother's side?

You have no taste.

Yeah, he has pretty bad taste.

Braindead is nothing compared to Bad Taste.

To the OP... Shut up, codpiece face.

Bad Taste and Dead Alive are both piles of ass. Both movies go into complete overkill way too early and raise the question as to why are you wasting your time watching it. Or better yet, why did he waste his time making it? Or better yet, why did they let HIM direct LORD OF THE RINGS!!!!???? Well, seeing as the fellowship was decent and the other two sucked congo balls, who knows.

Let's see, uumm... You have no sense of humour.

Rotten Tomatoes rates it 71% positive, most of the reviews in Imdb are positive.

And the budget for Bad Taste was 30,000 NZD where as the budget for Uwe Boll's House Of The Dead was $7,000,000. I'd say that's pretty well considering this as hell of a lot better Z-grade splatter.

That is not a known fact, that's your crappy opinion.

Personally I thought this film was a bit too B-grade, student and indie for my taste. I liked Braindead, however. I'll give it another shot. But I would agree that anyone who would call this the worst ever or rate it a 1/10 simply hasn't seen enough films. There are plenty of films that don't even meet the definition of film out there. Or movies like "The Room" which I finally saw. I wouldn't even rate that at 1/10 and it's far worse than this.

I think the OP sums it up by claiming one of the LOTR films was good and the others horrible. They are near identical in terms of quality and film making. Maybe the particular plot is different at that part, but they're all the same story with the same everything. Much more homogeneous than the Star Wars films for instance.

Whatever. There I said it.

I love this movie. 10/10

It was PJ's first feature. Made on a shoestring budget mainly funded by Jackson and done with a group of mates. All the makeup and effects done by Jackson, written by him, he acted in it etc. That's called talent.

Worst film ever made? hell no, what an idiotic thing to say.

reply

Remember that PJ made all the special effects and *beep* with a small group of friends. None of them were even close to being professional. This is the best "film school" a director can have. IMO at least..

I guess if you were born in the late 80's early 90's you might belong to the crowd how diss this movie. It's fine though, personal tastes are different. But to claim it as the worst film in history on the other hand says alot of your repetoar in movies. A couple of things you have to remember with this movie, is that they funded this movie soley by themselves, and also made all the things in the movie including the guns. Add to that, that it was made in the 80's.

You either share the whacky humour of the Aussies, or Limeys to be exact in this case, or you don't. Much stands or falls on that principle, it's supposed to be a tounge-in-cheek movie after all, not a bloody serious attempt at making it big time.

To me personally at least, i give it a 10. It's a gold nugget amongst the b-movies, i have seen films with funds in the hundred of thousands that has sucked way more than this one.

"Limey" refers to British. "Aussie" is Australians. This movie was made by New Zealanders, aka "Kiwis".

Anyway I agree, this movie gets a "10" in my book. Anyone who says this is "one of the worst movies ever made" obviously hasn't seen a lot of movies, nor do they appreciate the creativity and ingenuity of hand-made, independent filmmaking or the humor of schlock B-grade horror movies. These people should probably stick to the standard big-budget, big-name, focus-group approved-for-the-masses garbage that mainstream Hollywood churns out every year (not that all of that is bad, but I'd take "Bad Taste" over "Resident Evil" any day).

thats silly. Armageddon with bruce willis is the worst film ever made. bad taste is one of the best

As a lover of low and ultra low budget films I was quite impressed that PJ managed to pull off making an engrossing and gross film with practically no budget. To each his own I guess. Worst film ever? How many films has you seen? 2? How old are you? 10? Just curious.
