share8 is a good score. It's a fine movie and a bit of a cult classic. It's unfortunate that when it was released, there was faux-controversy overshadowing the film itself.

It’s a great pulpy novel with a mindblowing twist turned into a classy horror by a serious director working with a cast at the top of their game.
The period detail and intoxicating mood really elevate it, and I love how it slowly morphs from a private detective noir movie into a horror.
