I don't know how MST3K works for getting movies (maybe I can look that up) but I always assumed they got stuff that was either public domain (in the case of the older stuff which can be seen in a number of places like those Elvira features of the latest incarnation of the Friday night movie, Nightmare Sinema) or that the studios saw as so low quality that they sold the rights to it very cheaply and were glad to get any money from it. Frankly, the studio should be happy this movie got the MST3K treatment and allow for that release since there is no way I would have any interest in this movie by itself. Maybe they could do some kind of joint venture where they both get any "profits". I don't know.
I would be very interested in an official release. This marked two first for me. It was the first MST3K I had seen as well as the first time I saw Kathy Ireland. It was always one of the funnier episodes (its kind of frustrating since it set the bar so high, but I'm certainly still a fan and always will be).
