You can find the score in the record shop under Prokofiev's score for Cinderella the ballet!
22 minutes into the film where Frank is in the kitchen and he smashes the dishes Horner steals theme music from The Summer Fairy variation (1:26 to 1:43)When that scene changes to Faye sleeping in bed, the shot opens to the music of entrance of the Beggar-Woman Fairy Appears. Music from the same track is also heard when the first saucer finds an outlet to plug into, and when the lights start to flicker. When Faye wakes to the disturbance, Horner has also managed to use music from the section in the ballet where Cinderella also awakes and she remembers the Ball, and he does so for mostly the entire scene!
Taking advantage of a beautiful ballet score and it's unfamiliarity with the Hollywood public is a very disappointing and embarassing. Hope you are doing well with the cash for your creative original scores, and how bout the success with them Avatar Blu-Rays eh, Horner???
true. I've heard that's where Andrew Lloyd Webber gets a lot of his inspiration. Appalachian Spring is based on a Hymn--Simple Gifts. And anyway it took James Horner to put it together. Right. He's back on my "faves" list
You're fearless when you recognize why you should be scared of things, but do them anyway--CB
