What was wrong with the Baby Robot after it was born? I seem to remember the Retired Boxer brought it back to life? Sorry it was since 1988 since I last watched Batteries Not Included could anyone tell me?

Just started watching it and the Retired Boxer did bring it to life. I don't know what was wrong with the baby robot exactly, but it appeared as "stillborn" at first. The retired boxer says "batteries not included" (which is ironically the title of the film) and "tweaks" around with it and accidentally brings it to life. I think the little guy just needed a jolt.

I think, from the title of the movie, it can be taken as implied that the fuses blowing when the female Fixit was giving birth meant that the little one had no power; Harry built him a new power supply out of parts from his TV etc. & then the jolt from falling in the sink with the radio charged him up...

To hate another simply for proving you to be in the wrong is the lowest form of cowardice...
