A great showcase for Amanda Peterson

If, like me, you are a fan and admirer of Amanda Peterson's, I highly recommend you seek out this show. She gives a lovely and touching performance as Sunny Sisk. I think of all the projects she was involved in this show gave her the best opportunity to display her acting talent and gifts (talent and gifts which she rarely got a full opportunity to show during her time in Hollywood). The show is not easy to find online but it is possible to locate DVD copies of the miniseries and 1st season through an online Google search.

All of her scenes and conversations with Richard Kiley are particularly poignant and heartbreaking in light of Amanda's recent death and the fact that both wonderful actors are no longer with us.

I hope all 22 episodes eventually get posted online. Episode 2 is my favorite - the best performance of Amanda's career, IMO. I also love the conversational scenes with her and Richard Kiley that are sprinkled throughout the series (all sweet, heart-warming, and touching).

I also hope future episodes will be posted soon. I would love to see an official DVD release. I'm actually surprised this hasn't happened based on Sarah Jessica Parker's profile alone.

Here is a small scene that has been posted from Episode 2:

I would love to see the full episode!

Now that so much information has been released about the hardships Amanda went through, this scene and the scene at the end of Episode 21 are pretty heartwrenching. If someone can watch these and not tear up, he or she has a heart of stone!
